How to Measure Your Nails for the Perfect Fit

How to Measure Your Nails for the Perfect Fit

Finding the perfect set of press-on nails starts with getting the right size. Don’t worry, it’s easy! All you need is a tape measure (or a piece of regular tape) and a few simple steps. Let’s walk through it:

Sizing Guide for Letta Nails' 'Made with Love' Collection:

Our 'Made with Love' collection features 10 carefully crafted press-on nails in sizes ranging from XS to L. However, most people will likely need sizes S, M, or L. Here’s a quick guide to help you figure out which size will fit your nail beds best:

  • Size S: 15mm (Thumb) | 11mm (Index) | 12mm (Middle) | 11mm (Ring) | 8mm (Pinky)
  • Size M: 16mm (Thumb) | 12mm (Index) | 13mm (Middle) | 12mm (Ring) | 9mm (Pinky)
  • Size L: 17mm (Thumb) | 13mm (Index) | 14mm (Middle) | 13mm (Ring) | 10mm (Pinky)

While this guide is specifically for the 'Made with Love' collection, these measurements can also be used for our other collections, as the sizing is consistent across all our press-on nail sets.

Step-by-Step Guide to Measuring Your Nails:

Option 1: Using a Flexible Tape Measure

  1. Grab a soft, flexible tape measure (like the ones used in sewing).
  2. Measure each nail from side to side, across the widest part of your nail bed. This is the most important measurement.
  3. Write down your measurements in millimeters for each finger—Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, and Pinky.
  4. Compare your measurements with the size chart above to determine which size fits best!

Option 2: Using Clear Tape

  1. If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use clear tape.
  2. Stick a strip of tape along your nail bed following its natural curve, ensuring it wraps around the widest part.
  3. Mark the edges with a permanent marker, then remove the tape.
  4. Stick the tape onto a ruler and measure the distance between the marks in millimeters. Write down each measurement.
  5. Use these measurements to choose your size!

Fit Tips from Kalli:

  • Accuracy: Don’t forget not to include any pen marks in your measurements—this could add an extra 2-3mm to the size!
  • Size Up if Unsure: If you’re between sizes, it’s always better to size up. You can file the edges of the nails for a better fit, but you can’t add material back!
  • Check Both Hands: Nails on one hand may be a different size from the other, so be sure to measure both hands.
  • Consistency: Most brands have consistent sizing, so if you’ve bought press-ons from another brand, their sizing should match ours.

The Most Important Thing to Know:

Well-fitting press-on nails should cover your entire nail bed without gaps on the sides, but they should not touch your skin. Measure from sidewall to sidewall at the widest part of your nail, following its natural curve. This will ensure a secure, comfortable fit!
